- Provide guidance and support to teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units of inquiry, incorporating inquiry-based learning methodologies and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with the school leadership team, teachers, and other stakeholders to establish and maintain a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects the values and principles of the IB programme.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers related to PYP pedagogy, assessment practices, and curriculum development.
- Support the integration of language acquisition, including the development of language policies and practices that promote bilingualism and multilingualism within the PYP framework.
- Monitor and assess the implementation of the PYP programme, collecting and analyzing data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster partnerships with parents, the local community, and external organizations to enhance the PYP learning experiences and opportunities for students.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organization, ensuring compliance with IB regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Lead the process of self-study and evaluation for IB authorization and accreditation, working collaboratively with staff to maintain high standards of quality and excellence.
- Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in international education, particularly within the context of the IB programme, and share knowledge and resources with the school community.
- Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a coordinating or administrative role within an IB school setting.
- Certification as an IB PYP educator or PYP coordinator; additional IB certifications (e.g., IB workshop leader, examiner) desirable.
- Teaching certification PGCE, QTS, State Teaching Licence (NOT TEFL)
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with international educational frameworks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
