Financial Controller

• Lead accounting activities for the company and reporting activities for all subsidiaries, and manage business compliance and risk as per defined policies, guidelines and regulations.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Participate in developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and make recommendations for enhancements.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations.
• Implement cash management strategies and optimize cash flow processes to maximize efficiency.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance.
• Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, including tax laws, auditing standards, and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as necessary.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results, analysis, and insights to executive management and present the financial information in a clear and concise manner.

• Bachelor required, C PA , GAAP, IFRS or equivalent required
• Over 10 years experience in senior accounting positions.
• Deep-expertise in running accounting processes.
• Experience with financial systems and software (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial planning software).
• Understanding of legal compliance incl. Omani financial laws and policies and listing and investors requirements.
• Good understanding of oil & gas industry and related accounting policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, audit and control processes
