- Lead development, review, and approval of environmental engineering deliverables including impact assessments, baseline studies, monitoring plans, waste management strategies, and mitigation measures.
- Ensure environmental requirements are integrated into project designs, engineering documents, and construction methodologies.
- Provide guidance on environmental standards, regulations, permitting requirements, and sustainability practices.
- Validate environmental models, calculations, monitoring results, and technical reports.
- Ensure projects comply with national environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
- Review environmental submissions for regulator approval and provide expert recommendations.
- Liaise with environmental authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to address compliance matters.
- Evaluate environmental obligations during project changes, design revisions, or site modifications.
- Coordinate with process, civil, mechanical, HSE, and construction teams to ensure environmental considerations are incorporated in all project phases.
- Lead environmental input during design reviews, constructability assessments, and project planning sessions.
- Provide environmental engineering support to procurement teams regarding materials, waste, and emissions-related requirements.
- Provide support during construction and installation activities to ensure environmental compliance on site.
- Review and approve contractor environmental management plans, method statements, and monitoring programs.
- Conduct site visits to verify adherence to environmental requirements.
- Support resolution of complex site environmental issues, deviations, and unforeseen environmental conditions.
- Review and validate environmental monitoring data, trend analyses, and compliance reports.
- Prepare environmental engineering reports, decision notes, and regulatory submissions.
- Review deliverables from environmental consultants and ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Participate in contractor kick-off and review meetings to clarify environmental requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and highlight gaps or non-compliances requiring corrective action.
- Identify environmental risks across project phases and recommend mitigation and control strategies.
- Assess environmental impacts of engineering decisions and review alternative solutions for environmental performance.
- Support environmental due diligence and sustainability assessments for new projects or modifications.
- Review key environmental engineering documents including impact assessments, monitoring plans, calculations, and technical reports.
- Ensure documentation is complete, traceable, and aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain environmental engineering records for audits, regulatory review, and project archival.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in relevant position.
- Degree in relevant discipline
