It has been established in the Middle East for over a decade and has acted on numerous domestic and international bond and Sukuk issuances including several debut and award winning issues in the Middle East.The Oman team is looking to bring on board an experienced associate/senior associate with three to six years' experience of banking or capital markets (debt capital markets and/or Sukuk), to work on a variety of matters with a primary focus on transactional banking, Islamic finance, corporate reorganisations, restructurings, and debt capital markets transactions representing banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, issuers as well as large corporates.The Nature of the RoleAs part of a supportive team based in Muscat and with considerable regional experience, you will turn your hand to a range of banking and finance and capital markets matters of varying sizes and complexity. The position will involve managing due diligence processes and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, often working closely with corporate teams globally and giving advice relating to banking, structured finance, high yield and other capital markets matters. You will also be encouraged to initiate, build and manage client relationships and to participate in marketing initiatives from time to time.Requirements of the PositionSuitable applicants will be as follows:

Qualified as a lawyer in the UK/Ireland/Australia or New Zealand;
3-6 years' post qualification experience in banking law and/or DCM from another major global or national law firm (prior experience in Islamic finance is not a pre-requisite to application);
Willing to mentor and support junior members of the team;
Flexible approach, able to work effectively in a close-knit office;
Have an interest in business development;
Able to work with autonomy as well as part of a team.
